Excellent Citizens and Notable Partings is an expansion of the popular "Portrait of an Excellent Citizen" newspaper series originally published in the Review-Appeal between the years 1966-1968, in Franklin (Williamson County), Tennessee. In an effort to round out the lives of the subjects of the series, this compilation includes copies of the original hand sketched portraits and brief profiles, as published, and adds content such as obituaries, birth and death years, feature articles, family commentaries, quotations from other published sources, and relevant ads of the late 1960s, as seen in the Review-Appeal and other local publications. This work includes a forward by Rick Warwick, Historian, Williamson County, Tennessee, and is a project of the Special Collections Department of Williamson County Public Library, Franklin, Tennessee.
