When the winds of change came in the form of a hurricane named Katrina, the life of Evalena Monterey was caught squarely in its eye. In that catastrophic storm, Evalena lost loved ones, her home, and her mental well-being. Relocation found her in the home of her brother and his family, where tragedy was not through with her yet-and grief drove her to do the unthinkable. Eventually Evalena finds her way back to her beloved New Orleans. Once there, her life is impacted by the chance meeting of a woman steeped in the occult, whose mysterious "readings", regarding her life, can't be dismissed.
