Essence Of The Word: The Words of Our LORD in the New Testament

The red letters, signifying the words of Jesus in the Bible have always carried much weight in the heart of a believer. They provide comfort, encouragement and help in times of trouble. The very essence of the Word are His own words. Not only does this book contain the words of Christ, but also the words of our Creator in both the Old and New Testaments. You may be surprised to discover just how many of His spoken words are recorded in the pages of the Bible and His desire to abide with His people all throughout history. The powerful words of our Lord are compiled for you to quickly and easily find at your fingertips in the order that they appear in the King James Version of the Bible. In no way is this meant to take the place of all that the Bible has to offer. If anything, it may give the reader a desire to learn more about this man, Jesus and The One that sent Him. This study guide includes the scripture chapter and verse references and just enough commentary to understand to whom He spoke and the context of the circumstances. Everything else is stripped away. Only the books of the Bible that contains words that were spoken by God are represented here. To keep the reading as fluid as possible, the scripture references are listed above each selection. Verses are not numbered individually and the purposely minimal commentary that is added is italicized in parentheses. Not everyone will read the Bible or even the New Testament, but shouldn't we all at least read the words of God? This is a book that you'll want to pick up again and again. A must have for your library. It will also make a great gift.
