Essays On The Intellectual Powers Of Man - Paperback

Essays On The Intellectual Powers Of Man is a book written by Scottish philosopher Thomas Reid. It is a collection of seven essays that explore the nature of human cognition and the ways in which we acquire knowledge about the world around us. The essays cover a range of topics, including perception, memory, imagination, and reasoning. Reid argues that our understanding of the world is not solely based on sensory experience, but also on innate principles of the mind that enable us to make sense of our experiences. He also critiques the views of other philosophers, such as John Locke and David Hume, who he believes have overly skeptical views of human knowledge. Overall, Essays On The Intellectual Powers Of Man is a seminal work in the field of epistemology and continues to be studied and debated by philosophers today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
