End Pieces - Paperback

End Pieces is Paul Bukovec's third book of poetry. Once again, he offers provocative sketches, quirky character studies, and intimate musings. It is a jewelry box with small treasures. The gems include vivid, dramatic episodes from the author's travels, a pair of heartfelt, down-to-earth-warts-and-all eulogies for his own parents, a couple of deathbed anecdotes both stark and darkly humorous, some ironic reflections on aging, some fanciful mythological reconstructions, and even a few bits of romantic eroticism: poems from a cross-section of the author's work, private life, and imagination. His vignettes and portraits are often inspired by both his own well-traveled life and from the thousands of stories the author heard throughout his colorful career as a clinician.
