When sleeping feels impossible, Elmo and friends show kids how to manage their feelings and discover the joy of restful sleep.
From energetic playtimes to restless nights, Elmo Isn't Sleepy is a gentle, engaging picture book that helps children understand why sleep matters and how to make settling down for sleep easier--even when they'd rather keep playing! With guidance from Mayo Clinic pediatric psychologist Dr. Emily McTate and the beloved Sesame Street crew, kids learn that every feeling is safe to feel, and that there are simple, fun ways to wind down and get the rest they need.
Readers follow Elmo as he skips his nap, feels too excited to sleep, and learns how rest helps him feel his best. Practical tips and tricks include:
- Mindfulness activities such as Resting Pose and Floating on a Cloud
- Following a calming bedtime routine
- Limiting screentime
- Getting enough physical activity during the day
Whether kids are full of energy, feeling anxious, or just not sleepy, Elmo Isn't Sleepy offers playful strategies and comforting support for families navigating bedtime and naptime together.
Everyday Feelings with Sesame Street invites children to explore feelings with the help of their favorite Sesame Street friends. Combining fun narratives with expert guidance from Mayo Clinic pediatric psychologist Dr. Emily McTate, each adventure offers practical strategies to support every child's emotional well-being.
