ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Sometimes by illuminating the truth one can restore faith in love. And just like a lighthouse, love will always defeat the dark.
After being amazed by his sensibility and empathy in The Butterfly's Flight, David Olivas thrills his readers yet again with this new novel, a song of love, hope, and truth.
Chance drives Eva Ayala, a divorced cop with a strong marked character, to investigate the case of a missing child who disappeared on Saint John's Night, in the town of Calella de Palagrugell, Costa Brava. Furthermore, Eva carries the trauma of a recent past and must deal with her own personal crisis. The kind of complicity that will bring her close to Isabel, the missing boy's mother, will help Eva face her own tragedy and regain faith in herself. Although she will only be at peace if she uncovers the truth behind the case, regardless if it hides a terrible secret threatening to change her life forever. Intertwining thriller and noir elements, David Olivas' second novel is above all a moving story about the importance of family. It is an ode to motherly love and bravery.
