Details: Astor Piazzolla, the undisputed master of Argentine tango, recorded more than 500 pieces across his career and composed many, many more. The present recording features Italian guitarist Alessio Nebiolo, winner of numerous international guitar competitions, alongside the acclaimed string quartet Quartett Orfeo with Nadio Marenco on accordion and Alessandro Schillaci on the double bass in the same ensemble formation in which Piazzolla himself often performed.
