In Double Parking, T.D. Fuhr explores the landscape of short-term and long-term relationships and the often temporary interactions between people that shape lives through moments large and small. These twelve stories of the past and present are sometimes funny, sometimes tragic and always poignant.

In Fringe Patterns, two lovers share a secret passion playing games of chess with life-size pieces. In Fever, a surprise dance at a wedding reception launches a shy man into a bold new life. As I lay Drying, a summer power outage in the city leads to heated reflections on sex, loves and losses. In Neo Retro, a mysterious friend returns after twenty-five years to keep a now unwanted promise. In Bix, two jazz legends meet on a snowy night in Chicago. In Christmas, a woman alone on the holiday must face her deepest fear. In Green, an exotic dancer has a confrontation with her twin. In Post Mediam Noctem an unusual midnight mass marks a turning point. In Meat is Murder, a vegetarian in a fast food burger restaurant leads to mayhem. In Upland, a long-distance crush leads to unintended consequences during one very long day. In Stompin' at the Savoy, a night on the town for two girlfriends turns into more than they bargained for. In Double Parking, a diner breakfast with a quirky uncle takes an unexpected turn.
