Piero Visconti was a tenor with everything in place to leave his mark on the opera history of the 1970s, 80s and beyond. After a promising decade his Italian engagements became fewer, making it inexplicably difficult to find his name on Italian playbills of the 90s, which should have been the time of his full artistic maturity.
