A young woman determined to keep her promise to the dog who saved her from a horrible man, a young man anxious to begin his life as a husband on the land he and his brothers raced to claim.
Dixie Levine loses her job and room when she refuses to abandon her rescuer, a stray dachshund. Will accepting an invitation as a mail-order bride in Oklahoma solve her problems or create more?
Oliver Forrest wrote a letter asking an unknown woman to be his bride. He had one stipulation, she had to love dogs as much as he. Would any gal from Maine be willing to give up city life for country life on the one hundred and sixty acres he claimed from the Oklahoma land run?
Dixie and her little dog seem perfect for Oliver until the sheriff interrupts their wedding ceremony to arrest her for a crime she claims she did not commit. Will Oliver stand by her through her troubles? Can she prove her innocence? Will it prove to be too much for the youngest son?
Lynn Donovan is an author, playwright, and director who spends her days chasing after her muses trying to get them to behave long enough to write their stories. She enjoys reading and writing fiction, historical western romance, paranormal, speculative, contemporary romance, and time travel. You never know what her muses will come up with. You could see a novel under any given genre. All that can be said is to keep your eyes open because these muses are not sitting still for long! Oops, there they go again...
