Longman, Karen A.: - Karen A. Longman serves as PhD program director and professor of doctoral higher education at Azusa Pacific University; the department currently serves more than 120 PhD and EdD students. She holds a PhD in Higher Education from the University of Michigan. Longman currently co-edits an eight-volume book series on Women and Leadership being published in collaboration with the International Leadership Association; she also co-edits a peer-reviewed journal titled Christian Higher Education: An International Journal of Research, Theory, and Practice. Building upon her previous role as Vice President for Professional Development and Research at the Washington, DC-based Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), she has coordinated annual leadership development institutes for the past 20 years, with more than 60 participants advancing into cabinet-level leadership roles and presidencies.
