About the Author
In this book, Jay Wilson shares invaluable knowledge and experience he gained managing critical communications systems for the U.S. Air Force and governmental agencies including FEMA. Having deployed to the field for over 120 disasters and serious emergencies, he has served a range of organizations as On-Scene Incident Commander, Operations Section Chief, EOC Watch Officer, HAZMAT Operations Supervisor, Emergency Services Branch Director, Senior Staff Trainer, and Disaster Emergency Communications Supervisor throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. He was the senior telecommunications recovery advisor to the Chief Minister in Orissa State, India, following one of the most devastating natural disasters of the 20th Century. Jay is an active volunteer with the Disaster Emergency Response Association, the International Association of Emergency Managers, Colorado Amateur Radio Emergency Service, and numerous other service organizations. Jay is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) with a Master's in Public Administration, and has assisted major international corporations and governmental agencies in their All-Hazards preparedness programs, training and exercises.
