Embark on an unforgettable journey alongside the youngest serving sailor in the Royal Navy Fleet, whose life was transformed when he swapped a sleepy Warwickshire village for a life aboard a British warship.

This extraordinary memoir delves into the experiences of 16-year-old Richie Cannon, chronicling his enlistment, basic training, and Orient 92 deployment aboard a Type 42 Destroyer - HMS Newcastle.

Through conversational diary entries, this book takes readers on a journey of shark-infested waters, high seas adventures, and golden sandy beaches, from barbecues on the Tioman Islands and pirate patrols off Somalia to a casino in the Seychelles and a bullet train ride to Tokyo Disneyland.

Packed with astonishing stories, this memoir will transport readers to the heart of naval life and the daring spirit of youth. Dive in to discover a history rich in camaraderie, courage, and unforgettable moments.
