Dat Girl and Miami's South Beach Rockstars pay homage to "Holiday" - the huge hit that catapulted Madonna to the top of the charts back in 1983. When Dat Girl, who sounds uncannily like the Material Girl, originally recorded her version in the late 1990s, it created quite a stir in Europe and gained further notoriety when it was first remixed by the likes of WerkAHolics and Mike Mucci on an Afro Wax Records release that was only available on 12" vinyl. Always on the lookout for overlooked gems, the South Beach Rockstars decided to work their magic on the track, resulting in a plethora of remixes geared for listeners of a whole new generation.
