Clarinetist Emma Johnson is one of the few performers to establish a solo career that has taken her to major European, American, Asian, African and Australian venues. She is one of the UK's biggest selling classical artists and her recent recording of Brahms and Mendelssohn sonatas were described as "definitive... triumphant... a landmark disc". All of the works on this release were written with Johnson in mind, collaborating closely with her throughout the composition process.
