The suave, psychedelic-era thief called Diabolik (John Phillip Law, Barbarella, Death Rides a Horse) can't get enough of life's good or glittery things. The elusive scoundrel finds plenty of ways to live up to his name in this tongue-in-cheek, live-action caper inspired by Europe's popular Diabolik comics. He clambers up walls, zaps a press conference with Exhilaration Gas, smacks a confession out of a crime lord while freefalling with him from an airplane, and pulls off the heist of a twenty-ton gold ingot. And it's slickly produced by the legendary Dino de Laurentiis (Orca, King Kong), directed by the Godfather of Cult Cinema, Mario Bava (Planet of the Vampires), features a super-swinging score by the maestro Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly), co-starring Marisa Mell (Masquerade), Michel Piccoli (Max and the Junkmen), Terry-Thomas (The Green Man) and Adolfo Celi (Largo of Thunderball).
