This volume was original published in 1935 at the request of the Press Board of the University of Wales as a celebration of the life and work of Dafydd ap Gwilym. Dafydd ap Gwilym (c. 1315/1320-c. 1350/1370) was a Welsh writer regarded as one of the country's leading poets and one of the great poets in Europe during the Middle Ages. Written in both English and Welsh, this fascinating volume will appeal to all with an interest in this fascinating and seminal Welsh poet, and it is not to be missed by collectors. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with a specially commissioned new introduction.
