Creative Evolution - Hardcover

Creative Evolution is a philosophical book written by Henri Bergson that explores the nature of evolution and the concept of life. The book argues that evolution is not a mechanistic process, but rather a creative one, driven by a vital impulse that is constantly pushing life forms to adapt and change. Bergson also critiques the idea of determinism in evolution, arguing that the future is not predetermined and that life has the ability to create new possibilities.Bergson uses a variety of examples, including the evolution of the eye and the development of human consciousness, to illustrate his ideas. He also discusses the relationship between science and philosophy, arguing that while science can provide valuable information about the material world, it cannot fully capture the complexity of life and consciousness.Overall, Creative Evolution is a thought-provoking and influential work that challenges traditional views of evolution and offers a new perspective on the nature of life. This Is A New Release Of The Original 1920 Edition. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
