bell hooks was an acclaimed intellectual, feminist theorist, cultural critic, artist, and writer. The author of more than 60 books, she published works across multiple genres, including cultural criticism, personal memoirs, poetry collections, and children's books. Her writing explores issues of gender, race, class, spirituality, education, and the importance of media in contemporary culture. She is the author of the Love Trilogy, consisting of: All About Love: New Visions; Salvation: Black People and Love; and Communion: The Female Search for Love.
