Common Sense About Women (1881) - Hardcover

Common Sense About Women is a book written by Thomas Wentworth Higginson in 1881. It is a collection of essays that discuss the role of women in society and their rights. Higginson argues that women should have equal rights to men, including the right to vote and the right to an education. He also addresses issues such as marriage, motherhood, and the workplace, and advocates for women to have greater opportunities and freedoms in all areas of life. The book was written during a time when women's suffrage was a controversial issue, and Higginson's arguments were seen as radical by some. However, his ideas were influential in the women's rights movement and helped to shape the discourse around gender equality in the late 19th century. Today, Common Sense About Women is considered a classic of feminist literature and a landmark work in the history of women's rights. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
