Comfort for Community - Paperback

Under the decades-long rule of the 54th president of the United States, racial segregation is again the law of the land. As a result, mixed race people are forced into hiding. A newly implemented law called Comfort for Community offers them hope by promising safety and opportunities for a better life.

One person in need of such hope is a young woman named Gertrude. Trapped in an abusive marriage, she sees Comfort for Community as her only way out. Eventually, she becomes the face of a growing number of mixed race people ready to come out of hiding, end racial segregation, and the challenge the president's authoritarian rule.

There's just one detail that only she's aware of: she's white.
