John M. Clark is a journalist, writer, photographer, and historian with a passion for uncovering unusual stories hidden in plain sight. A native of southern Kentucky, he earned his journalism degree from Western Kentucky University and has worked as a broadcast journalist, advertising creative, magazine editor, freelance writer, and tour guide.
Since moving to Columbus, Ohio, in 1992, Clark has immersed himself in the city's history, particularly in German Village, the historic neighborhood he calls home. His previous books include German Village: Stories Behind the Bricks and Columbus Uncovered: Fascinating, Real-Life Stories About Unusual People, Places & Things in Ohio's Capital City.
