Close Up is John Fraser's sometimes outrageous, often hilarious, and always rigorously honest account of an extraordinary life. It is a remarkably candid memoir, relating his affairs, friendships and working relationships with some of the biggest stars of the stage and screen. Rudolf Nureyev, Dirk Bogarde, Bette Davis and many others feature in one of the most revealing and entertaining autobiographies in years.
John Fraser starred in over 30 films, including El Cid and Tunes of Glory. He was nominated for a British Academy Award as Best Actor for his performance, opposite Peter Finch, as Bosie in The Trials of Oscar Wilde.Contributor(s)
