Christ's Message to Sardis And To Us!

If Jesus gave you a "report card" on your spiritual status, what kind of grade do you think you'd get? That is exactly what He did with the church of Sardis - and they didn't get the grade they thought they would receive! In fact, Jesus warned that they were on the verge of failing if they didn't make fast changes in the way they were living.

What is most important in life is what Jesus thinks of us - not what we think of ourselves or even what others think of us. And although it may sound intimidating to ask the question, we must ask Him what He thinks and then let Him speak honestly to us about the things we need to be doing better. If we'll obey Him, we can make the very highest mark on His assessment of us, and live lives that are pleasing to Him.

The believers in Sardis had serious cracks that needed to be repaired. In Revelation 3:1-6, Jesus gave them practical steps to bring about needed correction. And as He admonished them, He is urging us to hear what the Spirit is saying through His powerful words.
