Stef Vanhamel is an executive in the pharmaceutical industry with more than twenty-five years' experience working with Chinese companies, from his early days in Big Pharma, leading external manufacturing across Asia, to the past ten years working for a Chinese CDMO. Born in Belgium in 1965, he trained in engineering and economics before building an international career centred on China, witnessing the country's transformation into a global economic powerhouse. He also chairs Siddharta Development Ethiopia, a charity supporting Addis Ababa's poorest, and travels regularly to Africa.
