Elder, Penney: - Penney Elder met her husband Lee while serving in the United States Air Force. They both worked in rawinsonde, the launching and tracking of weather balloons. They have been married for fifty years and have raised two sons and a daughter. They have lived in Lee s Summit, Missouri since 1982, and their family has expanded to include two granddaughters and a grandson. While raising her three children, she often found them to be funny, both intentionally and naturally, kind and loving in their words, actions, and thought processes. Their grandchildren have given them those same gifts and the opportunity to observe them as they often solve their own daily parade of problems by themselves.
