I believe we all desire to be deeply loved and cherished, even though we may convince ourselves that passionate love and connection only exist in the movies or that soulmates are downright fiction.

I know this because I was once one of those people who rolled my eyes at the idea of a soulmate. I was in a marriage in which I would frequently lock myself in the bathroom, hiding from my kids, so I could just sit on the floor and cry. I didn't understand where I had gone wrong.
