Aaron Spelling's successful mix of jiggles and thrills featured a trio of shapely detectives getting in and out of all sorts of dangerous scrapes while solving crimes for Charlie, their unseen boss. Over the course of the series's five-season run on ABC, "angels" were portrayed by Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett-Majors, Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, and Tanya Roberts; with David Doyle and John Forsythe as the voice of Charlie.
