Borah, Hiranya: - "The author, Hiranya Borah was born to a teachers' family and his schooling uptomatriculation (1976) was in his parental village, Chatia, Assam. He graduated from CottonCollege, Guwahati in 1981. During his college days, he was the editor of the college magazine'Cottonian'(1980) and he had published two Assamese novels. He took his master degree andM.Phil degree from Delhi University in 1983 and 1984 respectively. For few months in 1985, hewas a lecturer in Cotton College before he had joined into the Government of India in the sameyear as an Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer.
