She is a member of many artistic and conservation societies, including the Wildlife Art Society of Australia and The Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland, of which she is the president of her local branch. She is also chair of Australia's National Recovery Team for the Mahogany Glider, one of Australia's most threatened species.
Daryl and her husband live in the Kennedy Valley and devote much of their time to caring for injured and orphaned native animals. Their home is shared with an amazing diversity of unique flora and fauna, providing endless inspiration, interest and color.
