In 2011, she joined MCDLS, where her primary responsibilities include the daily operation of the Lab School, collaborating with faculty in research and instruction in teaching early childhood curriculum to undergraduate students, and conducting training for the Early Learning Matters Curriculum (ELM) project. Schlesinger-Devlin holds an MA in early childhood education from Northern Arizona University and an EdD in instructional leadership from Argosy University with a focus on early childhood education.Purpura, David J.: - David J. Purpura is a professor of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at Purdue University and the director for the Center for Early Learning, a research, practice, and policy center. He has been a faculty member in HDFS since 2012 and conducts research on how young children learn mathematics. His four children attended the Ben and Maxine Miller Child Development Laboratory School from infancy through preschool. Purpura is a graduate of Purdue and earned his PhD from Florida State University.Smith, Reyn: - Reyn Smith serves as the associate graphic designer and social media specialist for the Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at Purdue University. He earned a BS in marketing and economics from the Daniels School of Business at Purdue in 2024 and joined HDFS soon thereafter. Since then, Smith has provided the department with improved brand visibility, digital marketing, social media strategy, and visual storytelling. Along with this work, he is also actively pursuing his MBA from Purdue University Global.
