Buchwald, Manuel: - Manuel Buchwald grew up in Lima, Peru during and after World War II. He mainly read fiction earlier in his life, but he has been more drawn to nonfiction, especially history of World War II. As a research scientist, Manuel has experience writing and editing scientific material, but Camila Boldsky is his first work of fiction and is an homage to his grandmother's memory; she had taken her own life after Hitler had arrived in Vienna.
