Calendar of Delaware Wills, New Castle County, 1682-1800 - Paperback

This volume contains abstracts of all the extant wills found in the original (loose) probate papers and the recorded volumes as of 1911. Many of the earliest wills were not recorded in the probate volumes, and some original papers had disappeared by that date; others have no doubt disappeared since then, making these abstracts especially important to researchers. In addition to the full name of the deceased, these chronologically arranged abstracts offer a rich source of names, which may include spouse, children, relatives, witnesses, and/or others. A full-name index adds to the value of this work.
