We can no longer depend on our schools to give our children a proper religious education. The Bible is part of our National and Religious Heritage and our first introduction to it should be given by our Mothers. However to possess a Bible is often not enough; most of us need help to find our way around it. The purpose of Buckley is to fill this gap, because it not only identifies those Bible stories with which every young child should be familiar, but it also provides an easy method of locating them. Buckley can be used with any version of the Bible, it gives a short description of what every story is about and it endeavours to distinguish between those which are well known and those which are less so. There is no other book on the market which fills this particular need.
