Deeds, Darla: - I live on the High Plains of Rural Kansas, among the wheat, corn and sunflower fields where we operate a farm along with the ups and downs of today's agriculture. After the tragic accident involving Bruno, I was moved to share Bruno's story of his fighting spirit to survive. I believe that the value of a life lesson is an essential aspect for a young mind. Children crave new and novel words and ideas (These stories of Bruno are all real, and he really does love fireworks and tries to get them!)I graduated from Fort Hays State University, with a degree in Sustainability, and consider myself to be a steward of this earth along with a responsibility to protect our most precious resource, our WATER! I was the Director of a small Public Library for 15 years, earning an LSCP Certificate from Emporia State University in 2004. I also serve on the Northwest Kansas Library System Board.
