Drum Dance Music Of Dogrib

This recording showcases the music of the Dogrib Nation of Northwest Territories, Canada, a part of the northern Athabascan peoples who call themselves Dene. Utilizing voice accompanied by hand drum, these lively songs are meant to be performed during various social dances. During their first visit to the Southwestern United States, the Chief Jimmy Bruneau School Young Drummers consented to make this landmark recording and share their very special music.
