Cindy Amrhein was the Historian for the town of Alabama from 1997 to 2007. She also served as a museum aide at the Holland Land Office Museum in Batavia. Cindy became fascinated with the town's history when she moved into the area in 1990. She now lives in Wyoming County, NY where she has been the Assistant County Historian since 2007. She is a founding member and the webmaster for the Government Appointed Historians of Western New York. When she's not writing historical true crime, you can find her plotting out murder mysteries. Ellen Lea Bachorski was the president of the Alabama Historical Society, and the museum director for the Town of Alabama Museum during the writing of this book. She lived in Alabama for over 15 years and operating a store called The Trading Post in the Hamlet of Basom where the authors met. Ellen currently volunteers for several not-for-profit organizations within her community. She is currently a member of the Friends of Batavia Peace Garden and serves on the board of the Historic Batavia Cemetery.
