Booked, Busy, and Blessed - Hardcover

Some women spend their lives waiting to be chosen.

Dr. Flora Lawson chose herself - and honey, she hasn't looked back.

Born the youngest of six in Mississippi, raised to be a lady, and ignored by every boy in a fifty mile radius, Flora Lawson grew up believing love was something she had to earn. So she chased it - straight into a teenage marriage, a decade of single motherhood, a sixteen year military union, five years of soul scrubbing therapy, and one heartbreak that finally sent her running back to God.

With equal parts humor, honesty, and Holy Ghost boldness, Dr. Flora takes you through two divorces, three types of men over fifty you will instantly recognize, and the moment she stopped begging for love and started living her best life. This is not a story about finding a man.

This is a story about finding yourself - after the heartbreak, after the healing, after the audacity to start over at 54 and realize you were never behind. You were being prepared.

If you have ever shrunk to fit, settled to survive, or forgotten your own name trying to keep somebody else's world together - this is your permission slip to come home to yourself.
