Sorcerer Sessions

Features Matthew Shipp, a jazz pianist with a classical bent; William Parker, master of bass versatility; Evan Ziporyn, clarinetist and arranger for the Bang on a Can Allstars; Daniel Bernard Roumain, one of the classical world's most respected young violinists and composers; and FLAM, who programmed beats for Matthew Shipp's Nu Bop and Equilibrium and who adds his tricky synthesizer work to "Sorcerer Sessions". The jazz and classical worlds have combined to create a new breed of advanced improvisation ambient music, the outcome of which is playful and challenging, cerebral and relaxing.
