In 1958, Special Agent Frank Lawson is brought in from Nashville to help small-town law enforcement in rural East Tennessee investigate a questionable suicide, only to uncover that it was murder and that a patient serial killer has been deceptively active within their midst for two years. In a chance meeting in town, a local clairvoyant provides Frank guidance that he must follow the line of blood in order to solve the crimes. With her help, a lurid past of infidelity and indiscretion is revealed as the clues lead Frank to the truth and a forbidden love. This historical fiction weaves actual characters and unique local history into a fast-moving thriller full of unexpected twists and turns that will leave you breathless.
