Bobby 'Blue' Bland was a founder of post-war urban blues. Born in Tennessee in 1930, Bobby moved to Memphis and soon began cutting records for legendary labels like Modern, Sun and Chess. He found his breakthrough once he began recording for Texas based Duke Records. He was a giant in the worlds of R&B and Blues from the mid 50's until his death in 2013.
