Real Fights! Real Karate! Real Japan! In the 1930's, three dedicated disciples- Taikan,Choei and Giryu- are taught by esteemed karate master Shibara atop a remotemountain dojo. When the military police try to seize control of the training hall, the threestudents defend their master and defeat the police with Choei sustaining a debilitatinginjury. On his deathbed, the master instructs his students to refine their skills andcarefully choose the most worthy successor to inherit his prized black belt. The only twoviable candidates, Taikan and Giryu, each set on their individual paths to hone theirmartial skills and fully absorb their master's teachings until the fateful day when they willmeet again to put their skills to the ultimate test.
