In this Memoir, Mr Nii shares his grandmother's, and his uncles' stories, and in doing so shares his own and the history of PNG. Shape shifting from fantasy and myths of creation of this new tribe; the intellectual strengths that underpinned the cultural resilience to sustain it; and the assimilation (mostly) with the first colonisers when they arrived. The full arc of life is explored from a remote part of PNG to the centre of the new capital of the new country with a new queen.
