St Hilaire, Elizabeth J.: - I've been a full-time artist since 2014, truly living a rich and creative life! After leaving my long-time career as a graphic designer, I returned to exploring and cultivating the wide range of studio and Plein Air skills that my BFA from Syracuse University prepared me for. I am experienced as a painter, mixed media artist, collage artist, art educator, writer, and photographer. Oh, and I love to bake!I am known for my fun-loving teaching style, making my students laugh by sharing personal stories and fostering a supportive classroom environment. There are no silly questions or wrong answers. I teach workshops online and through art centers internationally.My artwork has been featured multiple times in Cloth, Paper, Scissors, The Artists Magazine, and Acrylic Artist, as well as in Gretchen Bierbaum's Collage in All Dimensions and numerous other books. I authored my own book on collage, Painted Paper Art Workshop, published by Penguin Random House, along with seven self-published books available on my website. I am also a signature member of the National Collage Society.I am a stencil designer for Joggles and my artwork is featured on Fredrix Art Canvas packaging. I'm a former Artist Educator for Golden Paints, I have also been a Gel Press Creative Team Artist and an embassador for Princeton Brush.I live in Sacramento, CA, where I can keep warm after growing up in Western Massachusetts and earning my Fine Arts Degree in Upstate NY.
