Not only does poetry allow him to move on, but it also helps him face similar situations in the future. The author says writing this book was an emotional experience. "My biggest obstacle was reliving the emotions of the situations I wrote about. These emotions made me stop writing a couple times to recover, but I fought through the emotions to complete the book."
