Beatriz Walking for Justice - Paperback

A seven-year-old girl was murdered inside a Catholic school. Her mother refused to let the world forget.

On December 10, 2015, seven-year-old Beatriz Angélica Mota Ferreira da Silva vanished during a graduation celebration at her school in Petrolina, Brazil. Minutes later, she was found brutally murdered.

For most families, such a tragedy would mark the end of a chapter. For Beatriz's mother, Lucinha Mota, it became the beginning of a relentless fight for truth.

When the investigation stalled, evidence was overlooked, and institutions that were supposed to protect her family failed to deliver answers, Lucinha embarked on an extraordinary journey that transformed her from grieving mother into determined investigator. Guided by internationally recognized homicide investigator Dr. Freddy Ponce, she learned to analyze evidence, challenge assumptions, uncover corruption, and pursue leads that others ignored.

Beatriz: Walking for Justice is more than a true crime story. It is a powerful account of a mother's unwavering love, a family's battle against despair, and a community's demand for accountability. It explores the emotional devastation of violent crime, the failures that can occur within investigative systems, and the remarkable strength required to continue when hope seems lost.

Through years of setbacks, heartbreak, and unexpected discoveries, Lucinha's determination became a movement that refused to be silenced.

A gripping blend of true crime, investigative insight, and human resilience, this unforgettable story reveals how far one mother was willing to go to find justice for her daughter.

Some crimes leave scars. Some create warriors.
