You were never meant to simply react to
the environment around you.
Too many leaders spend their days reading the temperature-responding to negativity, managing chaos, and surviving pressure instead of shaping culture with intention. Schools, teams, and organizations don't improve by accident. They improve when someone is willing to set the tone.
Be the Thermostat, Not the Thermometer is a powerful call to lead with vision, consistency, relationships, and belief. Through authentic stories, practical leadership strategies, and real experiences from the front lines of education, Dr. Tron Young challenges readers to stop reflecting culture and start creating it.
This book will help you:
Lead with purpose instead of pressure.
Build cultures where people feel valued.
Raise expectations while strengthening relationships.
Stay grounded when leadership gets heavy.
Create lasting impact beyond your title.
Don't just measure the temperature...Set it.
