Bayou Savages - Paperback

Triad, Nola: - Nola Triad is the pen name for three award-winning writers who collaborate as one New Orleans voice. Their mission is to bring readers the uncompromising novels they'd like to read, but that major publishers don't publish. Like the characters in their stories, Nola Triad are Black, they are Asian, they are white, they are mixed-race. They are female and male. They are public high school products who got scholarships to colleges where they honed their craft. Two of them were roommates at Tulane University, and the third is, at the time of their first book's release, still an undergrad at Harvard. They consume legends of grimy crime fiction: the S.A. Cosbys, Phillip Thompsons, the Lehanes, Highsmiths, and Flynns, and they devour many other genres too. But what they deliver is like nothing else. The true fuel for Nola Triad's writing is the city that made them. There is a cadence to their stories, a spice, a rhythm all the way down to the sentence that is pure New Orleans. They know not all readers will like it, but they are grateful to write for the ones who do.
