Bayan Meeruthi was a 19th century senior most poet, excellent journalist and a good essayist. He was primarily a writer and poet and had no mental attachment to anything other than poetry and prose. He wrote poetry in both Urdu and Persian languages. He belongs to that era of Urdu poetry, which was a mixture of ancient and modern.
